MILWAUKEE (September 30, 2025) - With just one week to go until The Utility Expo opens the gates at The Kentucky Exposition Center for 2025, excitement is building for the largest gathering of utility professionals and innovators in North America. This year’s event promises unparalleled networking and learning opportunities alongside a suite of brand-new experiences.

            Navigate the New Footprint

As the Kentucky Exposition Center continues to evolve, this year’s footprint will look different from previous editions due to ongoing construction. While some familiar spaces are being refreshed, the new layout offers opportunities for discovery and efficiency.

Updated Maps

You can find the updated overview and transportation maps here. For an interactive map of exhibitors, use The Utility Expo App.

The transportation map provides the tram/gold cart route, rideshare drop locations, hotel drop-off/pick-up locations, and more.

Shuttle Service

There is free shuttle service from select hotels and the Kentucky Exposition Center. Shuttles will operate during official days. The full schedule can be found here.  

Important Transportation Information for 2025

  • Parking is free for attendees in 2025.
  • Attendee parking is changing.  There will be no attendee parking on the north end of the show footprint.  All attendee parking will enter the Kentucky Exposition Center through Gates 1 or 2 and will be on the south side of the venue.
  • When using Google or Apple Maps, attendees should select Gate 1 or Gate 2 for navigation to the Kentucky Exposition Center.
  • There will be trams providing rides from the further parking lots to the indoor registration area. 
  • All hotel shuttles will drop off and pick up in Lot H, on the north end of the show footprint.
  • Ride share will drop off and pick up outside of South Lobby B.

 

New Events and Exciting Experiences Await

The Utility Expo is renowned for its interactive demonstrations and industry forums, but this year’s program takes things to a whole new level.

·        UTILITY ROCKS! The Utility Expo’s official street party at 4th Street LIVE!
Date: Wednesday, October 8th, 2025
Time: 7 – 10 pm
Location: 4th Street Live
Connect with your fellow attendees Wednesday night for UTILITY ROCKS! This free concert is located at 4th Street Live, one of Louisville’s premier dining and entertainment destinations. Grab dinner at any local restaurant and end your night with music by country singer and songwriter Travis Denning. The DJ will start at 7 pm followed by Travis at 8:30 pm.

·       The HDD Rodeo. Utility contractors are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in underground infrastructure and nowhere is that innovation more visible than at the HDD Rodeo Showcase, organized by Benjamin Media. Happening October 7–8, this high-stakes horizontal directional drilling competition pits top drilling crews against one another for substantial prizes, including advanced equipment packages and cash awards.

·        The NUCA Equipment Operators Challenge. This new partnership between The Utility Expo and the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) brings a new championship event to the Kentucky Exposition Center.  The event, spearheaded by NUCA, will bring together skilled equipment operators from across the country to compete in a series of hands-on events designed to test precision, control and safety in utility related tasks.

·         The ADVANCE Program for Women in Utilities Workshop. This dynamic workshop is designed to empower and elevate women in the utilities industry. The Community Zone will host a Women in Utilities Spotlight on Tuesday from 3-3:30 p.m. followed by a beer & bites reception until 5 p.m.

·         Luncheon Symposium: Advancing Safety in the Electric Utility Industry. In addition to the field classrooms, The Utility Expo will host a lunch symposium. Priced at $149, this is a must-attend event for professionals committed to reducing risk and foresting a culture of safety.   

·         Damage Prevention LIVE hosted by the Common Ground Alliance (CGA). This one-of-a-kind, hands-on activation zone is designed to demonstrate CGA’s core mission: protecting underground infrastructure through collaboration, education, and innovation.

·         Recognizing the mental health of construction professionals in the utility sector, a partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) aims to raise awareness and provide resources for mental health support within the utility workforce.  Donations of any amount will help make a difference in furthering this important mission.
